Digitisation has a big part to play.<\/p>\n<p>One of our long-standing clients manages 50+ locations in 11 countries with 1200+ staff. They have embedded our management system with high levels of local site engagement, managed by the UK-based H&amp;S Manager, who has real-time data of all their safety monitoring and incident activity across their footprint. He also receives alerts when something \u201cdoesn\u2019t happen\u201d again in real-time.<\/p>\n<p>The H&amp;S Manager leverages our management system to undertake every part of their H&amp;S process and places himself in a position where he is focused on the management of the process and not the administration.<\/p>\n<p>As well as a highly streamlined process, they are virtually paperless, supporting their ESG goals.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/section>\n\n<div  class=\"acf-fullwidthimage-block\">\r\n     <div style=\"max-width:70%\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bcarm-staging.uk\/everywhen\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/04\/warehouse-tablet-inspection-1.png\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\n\n<style>\r\n\t#gen120779846 h1{color:var(--primary) !important}\r\n\t#gen120779846 h2{color:var(--primary) !important}\r\n\t#gen120779846 h3{color:var(--primary) !important}\r\n\t#gen120779846 h4{color:var(--primary) !important}\r\n\t#gen120779846 h5{color:var(--primary) !important}\r\n<\/style>\r\n<section class=\"general-content-block\" style=\"background-color: var(--white); color: var(--black);padding-top: 30px; padding-bottom:30px\" id=\"gen_120779846\">\r\n\t<div style=\"max-width:var(--content-width)\">\r\n\t\t<p>Let&#8217;s look at Risk Assessments as an example; they are the core of Safety, and the Control Measures&#8217; continuous operation protects all concerned.<\/p>\n<p>This is best achieved by the proactive monitoring of those Risk Assessments (to ensure the control measures are operative) and therefore understanding how the business is performing so that shortfalls and performance issues can be managed ( a fundamental of PDCA and HS(G)65).<\/p>\n<p>So as the proactive monitoring takes place, what if that one action could also achieve the outcomes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Date stamped record<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Audit Trail &amp; Claims Defensibility.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Compliance Score of the Control Measure performance<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Audit Trail, Lead Metric Performance Data, Business Engagement and Alignment.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Identify and Record Corrective Action<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Visibility of issues, Task Assignment and Corrective Action.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Management Alert on pre-identified shortfalls<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 \u00a0Visibility, Management Control and intervention, Engagement\/Alignment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All are achieved on a tablet, without any paper and instantly reportable anywhere in the world. Imagine that any Checklists, Accident Reports, Near Misses notifications could all be carried out the same?<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"insights-h4 brand-dark-text insights-h3\"><strong>How much frictional cost can be driven out of the H&amp;S process?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>It can be challenging to establish what frictional cost benefit can be gained, however, a retrospective view (we used to do this and now we don&#8217;t) can provide insight.<\/p>\n<p>The following is a cost\/benefit analysis by another client who had to justify each item of expense to a new owner, in this case, our system licence; &#8220;if we don\u2019t spend money on this, it will cost us this&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>This client had c 250 employees, and their licence cost was c \u00a35000 pa.
